Jackie Cote from the Newport Historical Society is in studio talking about the Corbin Covered Bridge Festival on Saturday October 12th in Newport. Jackie talks about all the live music, vendors, displays, historical education, and more that will be happening. The day starts with the race run by the Newport Recreation Dept and ends with their Dinner By the Bridge, catered by the Old Courthouse. We talk about Newport's history of Covered Bridges, the Covered Bridge book she wrote, artifacts created by the old wood from the original covered bridge, and lots more.
